Engineering & Applied Science, Inc. (EAS) founded by Dr. Srinivas G. Rao, P.E., in 1995 in Tampa, Florida, provides planning, design, computer modeling, construction plans, permitting, and construction management services for engineering and environmental projects. EAS was started to provide cost effective, timely, innovative, repsonsive and responsible services with an accent on quality. Our strength is our quality service. At EAS client satisfaction is top priority. EAS is an U.S. SBA(8a), Florida State, Florida DOT, Counties and Cities and local/regional authorities certified MBE, DBE, SBD firm. EAS is an S-Corporation incorporated in the State of Florida.
Dr. Srinivas G. Rao, P. E. - President/Principal, 22 years experience in water resources, civil, and environmental engineering, hydrogeology, air quality, and water quality modeling, design, permitting, and statistical analysis and optimization. BS and MS from Bangalore University and Indian Institute of Science (INDIA) in electrical, electronics, and systems engineering and Ph.D. in civil engineering (hydrology) from Purdue University. Research engineer at Purdue Remote Sensing Lab, Senior Research Engineer at University of Kansas Remote Sensing Lab, Research Hydrologist at Oak Ridge National Lab, professor of civil engineering at Georgia Tech, and principal engineer/department manager at Law Engineering, Dames & Moore, ERM, and KBN Engineering all in Tampa, FL. Extensively published in statistical analysis, stochastic modeling and watershed modeling. Fourteen (14) years of Florida experience as project manager/project engineer for numerous stormwater management, wastewater disposal, watershed, riverine, lake, and estuarine modeling, ESA (Phase I to III), EISs, soil/groundwater contamination assessment/ remediation, water supply, wellfields, water resources planning, hydrologic monitoring, RCRA/CERCLA, solid waste and municipal landfills, hazardous waste sites, water quality improvement, facility audits, and multi-media fate and transport modeling and risk assessment.
Dr. George T. Yeh, P.E. - Associate of EAS and a distinguished professor of civil engineering at the University of Central Florida, internationally recognized in groundwater/watershed and fate/transport modeling, developed and tested over 100 computer codes including 3DFEMWATER, 3DFEMWASTE, HYDROGECHEM, and STORMSURGE. Recently he developed integrated watershed, surface and groundwater flow and water quality and sediment transport model (WASH123D) which is a coupled 2-D overland flow using kinematic, dynamic, and diffusion methods, 1-D stream flow, 3-D unsaturated/saturated groundwater water model) and a 2-D hydrodynamic/water quality/sediment transport model (BEST) for bays and estuaries. Most of these models have been endorsed by EPA/USACE and widely used. Dr. Yeh brings over 30 years of model development and application experience from NASA, TetraTech, Stone & Webster, Oak Ridge National Lab, Penn State University and University of Central Florida. In 1999, Dr. Yeh published 2 books on Computational Methods in Subsurface Flow Modeling (Vol. I) and in Subsurface Transport Modeling (Vol. II) with Kleuger Press. |
